Sneak Peek!

Will picked out the wall color! And did a good job!

OUCH!

Painful, let me tell you! A little over a week ago Will and I were hanging up a mirror on the wall and somehow, while he was hammering the nail in, i was stuck holding the mirror up with Chloe next to me on my right side. I somehow lost grip and dropped the 20 lbs. mirror on my toe! The mirror doesn't look heavy, but believe me, my toe will say otherwise! When I dropped the mirror, all I could see (in slow motion i might add) is it falling on chloe's foot and shattering glass all over the floor and cutting us up. So I caught the mirror with my foot as fast as I could move and...this is the result. I will admit, I cried! I'm not a baby when it comes to pain, at all, but I thought I deserved to just let go the tears on this one. This happened at 8 pm and at about midnight I called up my dad's wife since she's an RN and asked her what I could do to make the pain go away. It was only getting worse and worse. She told me that the doctor would do exactly what they did when I went in at the hospital on base the next morning....x rays (and woohoo it's not broken, although the doc was sure it was before hand), and drilling a hole from on top of my toenail to let the huge blood blister that was building up underneath drain. gross! I didn't watch, but Will did since he's curious about EVERYTHING, but I made sure to ask the doctor the basic question of "Is it going to hurt?" he answered no, but right before heating up the wires to drill with he said, "Now this might hurt a little."......uhhh, okay Doc! I was already in enough pain as it was, and I didn't really care to be put in more. So yes, it hurt, but it was short. Afterwards felt a ton better. (p.s: after a little over a week i still have to wear a bandaid on my toe since it still wants to bleed)  :(

This is a before "drilling" shot.

...and this is the lovely mirror that needed such attention... (and it lived through this.)

Few Scenery Pics..

This is on base, not a great picture but look at the leaves!
Your don't get this in Arizona!

One of the Barraks buildings on base (living quarters for single soldiers)

This my friend is the AUTOBAN! Not at all what I imagined...
It's safe until you get in the left lane (fast lane), you only get
in that lane to pass unless you're going 180 mph. And when
you do pass, you do it quick! LOL

This picture was taken from my living room window...
cute little german houses. :) and yes, that's my driveway on the left.

another picture from up my street.. i love the yellow-ish house!
It's so much more beautiful in real life!

Their leaves here from the trees make it so beautiful! While on the autoban, on base, or around the house, these leaves are oranges, yellows, greens, and browns... SO BEAUTIFUL!

FINALLY!

Our furniture will be here tomorrow! When we shipped our furniture the military offices handling everything said that our furniture would arrive Nov. 4th the latest....it's Nov. 10th! (i think! LOL) Thursday afternoon we ran into some friends at the shopping center on base and started talking about how we like it here in germany and all and they started to tell us that their furniture shipment wasn't suppose to be here until Nov. 18th and they got an email saying it came in last week. They made an appointment to get the movers to come and bring the stuff over for that friday. I was like "What?? We haven't even gotten a call about our stuff and it was suppose to be in by the 4th!" So Friday, Will and I went to the shipment office and asked them where our furniture was and you know what they said?? "It got here a couple weeks ago, they called and left you a voicemail about it." (first of all, they told us they would email us, and second...our voicemail was in german at that time. we don't quite get the german language yet fully, third... I'm a VERY impatient person, I've been dying for our furniture to get here so i can start doing some interior designing!!!) Needless to say, it will all be getting delivered to our house tomorrow, so expect pictures! I'm still thinking about whether i should paint the walls or not since I would have to paint them back when we move out. ya, i guess i should huh, it makes a world of difference! :)
While we're on the house topic, Will and I just picked up a nice tv since we got rid of our old one (it weighed more than the house, and Will refused to move it again, so we sold it) and I love it! We also did some shopping here in Bamberg and my gosh, Germans have such better taste than americans! I looked for an area rug for like 6 months before leaving the states and when I walked into this store, I couldn't choose between two rugs, they were so fab! So I bought the one that matched our stuff better. The next day, we went back and bought 4 more rugs. I love shopping in Europe!

P.S: Sorry, we didn't go castle hunting this last weekend, but we will soon and i'll be sure to post up pictures of us by the castles. and poor little Chloe is sick! :( She is coughing like crazy and it's sounds painful! We have a dr.'s appointment tomorrow and we'll update you all on her.

Our Weekend

As you can see, my husband is such a dork! But i love him so much! Our good friends Donny and Samantha have been so nice to share their car with us, since the one we bought here took a crap on us this last week. We are all looking into getting new cars right now so Donny and Sam decided that we will all share expenses on the little hoopie they have and we will share it until we all purchase a new one each. Very nice of them to do. So anyways, along with what I was getting at is since the Roberts have been so helpful to us, we wanted to give them a little home made present. Introducing...... the STUMP! lol I was looking on this blog that I adore, and the lady is brilliant with home decor (and I love decorating!) and she came across a stump like this and spray painted hers gray and is now using it as a side table type thing in her bedroom next to her fabulous wing chair! So since our landlord provides TONS of firewood for us we decided to copy the lady in the blog and we will be spray painting this little sucker. (but brick red, not gray) I love this idea and I think it goes perfectly with the Roberts! They are "country folk" :) So we had to take a pic of the project before. (the blog is on my links as "Three Men and A Lady" if you want to check it out)

P.S: Our shipment of furniture will be arriving at our house officially on tuesday, so
expect pictures!! :) I'm dying of excitement!

Me with the stump on the balcony

She loooves her chocolate!

Will has got me addicted yet again to MONSTERS.

She has learned to say "cheese!"
Don't worry, we will still take the pictures with the castles this weekend.
I didn't forget!

First off...I know I always say this but my husband really is the sweetest!
We were at the grocery store and while checking out he grabbed these for me :)
Those random acts are simply amazing.

Now I do realize that the pictures of our house in one of my last posts... weren't the best.
Here are better ones of it, and here are a few pictures I took on base here in Germany.

Now of Germany..

WHY???!!! "Hey Honey! Take a picture of me with the bedet!"
"Like we even know how to use that thing, i thought they were suppose
to squirt up, not down!?" haha

The Pantry (that's right, you get a tour of the whole house!
Other than our bedrooms, I don't DARE post those up yet! LOL

Spare half-bathroom

Hallway...leads downstairs

living room...door goes to balcony

the other part of the living room, check out the ceiling! Those are dimming
lights you see! (we love them, very romantic)
kitchen...

I tried to make it to where you could see the WHOLE bathroom..
(Ignore the lady in the picture, that would be me not looking too hot)

dining room...

Like Mother, Like Daughter (daughter that looks like her father)

I swear I did NOT set this up! I was reading her a book at the kiddie library
and I look down and took a pic! I love her!

Chloe's Day...

Here are a few pictures of Chloe while we were exploring base, yet again....

She found a new friend :)

I decided to leave the best for last... Perfect end note on Chloe's post!

(This is what her Daddy teaches her, what a fun dad)

And The Award Goes To......!

Will!!

His hard work has ALREADY paid off! Will got promoted today 3 months early for doing so good! He is now a Private First Class (E3) and in May will be promoted again to a Specialist (E4). Will is doing a marathon race against 8 people on Sunday night and it will until Monday night. He said whoever wins will get a metal...Wish him luck!
P.S: Sorry the picture's so dark! (Camera phone)
